Coghlans Compass Thermometer consists of two handy outdoor instruments in one.

How To Use The Compass

1. Hold the compass horizontally keeping it away from any magnetic objects, i.e., watch, belt buckle, etc.

2. Select your desired direction of travel from an oriented map or by locating a distant geographic object (hill, tree, lake).

3. Pint the yellow arrow in the desired direction of travel. Then turn the bezel ring so the white arrow points at N (north). As you travel forward your predetermined direction, keep the 'N' position on the white arrow.

4. To return do not reset. Simply keep the south 'S' in line with the white arrow. The yellow arrow will indicate the direction of your return.
